ABOUT US

Opened in 1986 in the former Tabernacle Welsh Baptist Chapel, Pontypridd Museum tells the story of an area transformed, from a quiet Valleys community to a thriving industrial town at the heart of the South Wales coalfield. Around this industry sprung a vibrant culture of music, art, sport and political activity which still shapes the town today.

Through our collection of over 16,000 objects, discover everything about our town, from the mysterious rocking stone, to the ingenuity of the Old Bridge.

Our Mission...
